It is an honor to work closely with my clients and to share in the journey of self-discovery. As we build our relationship together, we have the opportunity to use it as a way to sort out feelings and reactions, both in the present and from the past. This is the foundation of relationally-based, psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I have always enjoyed using my skills in a variety of ways, such as with individuals, couples, families and groups, and in a variety of contexts, such as mediating a conflict or teaching new professionals entering the field. I imagine that I've grown up along side my work with clients, specializing early on in adolescence, then moving more to adults and families and now treating many seniors together with their spouses and children. I value the times when I can follow someone over many years, as he or she returns with new issues.
